Treatments on Offer

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a very useful piece of equipment that can be used to help reduce inflammation and pain in an acute injury or acute on chronic injury. Best used when the injury is very new and too sore to be touched.

Massage

Massage is used to help lengthen and relax tightened structures. By releasing tension and improving blood flow, it can help to further the effects of physiotherapy.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is another medium used to help reduce inflammation and the pain of an injury. It is another option to aid your recovery.

Exercise Prescription

Exercise prescription is what physiotherapy is known for. It will help to strengthen and lengthen any imbalances in the body, correcting movement patterns that may have become altered by an injury or illness.

Taping

Kinesio tape is utilized to help support structures that have become tight due to repetitive strain or structures that may not have enough support due to injury.

Classes

We offer classes here at LDM in both pilates and barre pilates.

Pilates is a brilliant way to improve your strength and flexibility in a safe and progressive way. There is a level for everyone in pilates, which is why we love it so much! It is physiotherapy led, meaning that it will be adapted for every individual within the class as you progress.

Barre pilates can be a little more challenging as it is more in line with a cardio or HIIT exercise class and requires you to have no injuries. It is based on pilates and ballet movements combined and when done to some upbeat music can really build on your strength whilst having fun.

Class Timetable:

Pilates:

Tuesday 11.10-12.10 at the Deeside Dance Centre
